Dr. Sarah Dickin presented work looking at the Human geographies of climate change adaptation conference, focusing on links between empowerment and climate adaptation in Bangladesh, in collaboration with Simavi, a WASH NGO focused on the rights to water and sanitation for women and girls with a strong emphasis on social and climate justice.
The presentation discussed the ways empowerment is critical for adaptive capacity, and benefits and challenges of measuring adaptive capacity in a WASH context to inform intervention.
